
Physiotherapist
Jimmy completed his Masters of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Queensland. He also obtained his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from York University in Canada. Jimmy’s strongest interest is in sports-related injuries and rehab. He has experience in treating patients managing injuries related to racquet sports, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and weightlifting. Not only is he focused on managing your symptoms and returning you to pre-injury function quickly, he is dedicated to finding the cause of the injury and addressing these factors in order to prevent future occurrences.
Jimmy practises a multidisciplinary approach to best manage acute and chronic injuries, which includes a combination of Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, Athletic Training, Joint Manipulation, Dry Needling, and Advanced Sports Taping.
His Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology gives him extensive knowledge of exercise rehab, which helps his clients improve their movement patterns and address any deficits to improve their overall performance related to their sports. He has extensive experience in the public and private health sector working with those who have had acute orthopaedic injuries, joint surgery/replacements, and neurological conditions (i.e. Parkinson’s Disease, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries).
When he is not at work, you can find Jimmy reading at your local coffee shop, exploring the city, at the gym, boxing, or indoor rock climbing.
